April 2027 increasesEstimate, not advice

Expected until confirmed at the 28 October 2026 Budget

Yearly figures are 52 weeks. Most of these are paid every 4 weeks, which is 4 times the weekly rate.
We have left Universal Credit out on purpose. The standard allowance is getting its own rise above inflation, and the April 2027 figure is set at the Budget on 28 October 2026 rather than simply following CPI. Rather than guess, we will add it once it is published. The current monthly standard allowance is £424.90 for a single person aged 25 or over, on GOV.UK.
The triple lock raises the State Pension by the highest of earnings growth, CPI inflation or 2.5%. Earnings growth for May to July 2026 was 3.9% and CPI for September 2026 was 3.5%, so the expected rise is 3.9%. The full new State Pension would go from £241.30 to about £250.71 a week, and the full basic State Pension from £184.90 to about £192.11. This is expected until confirmed at the 28 October Budget.
PIP normally rises by CPI inflation for the September before, which was 3.5% in September 2026. The higher daily living rate would go from £114.60 to about £118.61 a week and the higher mobility rate from £80.00 to about £82.80. The lower rates would be about £79.38 and £31.36. This is expected until confirmed at the 28 October Budget.
Compare your rise with CPI inflation, which was 3.5% in the 12 months to September 2026. If your pay went up by more than 3.5%, it beats inflation and you are better off in real terms. Put your old and new pay into the second calculator to see the real gain or loss in pounds and percent.
We have not guessed this one. The Universal Credit standard allowance is getting a separate rise above inflation, and the figure for April 2027 is set at the Budget on 28 October 2026. We will add it once it is published.
The government has committed to raising the new and basic State Pension by the triple lock. Most disability and carer benefits, such as PIP, DLA, Attendance Allowance and Carer's Allowance, go up by CPI inflation for the September before. Any protected payment on top of the new State Pension also rises by CPI.
The new rates start in April 2027, from the first full payment week after the start of the new tax year. Your first payment at the new rate may be split between old and new rates, depending on your payment day.
Checked on 21 October 2026. We will update this page after the Budget on 28 October 2026.
